Gerecse is a mountain rage in north-western Hungary, in the Central Transdanubian region, between the ranges Vértes and Pilis and part of the Komárom-Esztergom County. A low limestone mountain situated between the town of Tatabánya and the Danube River.

In early April a real "wild garlic carpet" is covered the bottom of the forest here. And in late April and early May, when the wild garlic is blooming, the forest looks like a winter wonderland after a snowfall.
